Label printing can start before the appointment. It takes effect when you complete onboarding, and the certificate follows within 60 minutes. The name, postal address and email go on the product, packaging, parcel or an accompanying document, and on your listings.
A Responsible Person answers to the EU authorities for your product. Article 4(3) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 gives it four tasks, the GPSR adds regular checks, and Eldris handles the authorities' correspondence, the label address and your portal.
The information needed to appoint Eldris is details only: company name, contact, email, phone, business address and country, product types, markets and SKU plan, then the Letter of Authorisation. No documents are needed before payment.
Eldris logs authority requests and tells you. Authority post to its EU address is notified to you within 24 hours, a formal information request gets an initial response within 10 working days, and you are consulted before any substantive reply.
Eldris represents consumer products and cosmetics. The onboarding form lists eight product types, and one registration per market covers every type you sell. Goods under their own EU law, cosmetics and medical devices each follow their own operator rule.
Under the GPSR both sets of details go on the product: your own name and postal and electronic address as manufacturer (Article 9(6)) and the Responsible Person's (Article 16(3)). For EU markets: EldrisAi OÜ, Ruunaoja tn 3, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia, with [email protected].
You can cancel at any time. The plan runs month to month and ends at the end of the billing period you have paid for. The appointment then ceases, you remove Eldris's details from your packaging and listings within 30 days, and the market fee is not refunded.
To switch Responsible Person without a gap, appoint Eldris before your current appointment ends. The certificate follows within 60 minutes of completing onboarding. Eldris's position is that stock already on the market is covered by evidence of the new appointment.
Only if your business is established in the EU. An EU manufacturer holds the role itself under Article 4(2)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020. Otherwise an EU importer or an authorised representative holds it, or, failing both, a fulfilment service provider.
No. A Responsible Person is the EU product-safety operator under Article 16 of the GPSR. EPR is the duty to register with each country's producer register for packaging, WEEE and batteries and pay for recycling. Eldris offers EPR as a separate service.
