Which two sets of details does the GPSR ask for?

Two: yours and the Responsible Person's. Article 9(6) sets out the first and Article 16(3) the second. Each asks for a name and a postal and electronic address.

Under Article 3(8), the manufacturer is whoever makes a product, or has it designed or made, and markets it under its own name or trademark. So a brand that has a factory make its goods is their manufacturer.

Article 9(6) requires that manufacturer to give its name, registered trade name or registered trade mark. It adds its postal and electronic address. If its single contact point has a different address, that address goes on too.

The details go on the product. Where that is not possible, they go on its packaging or in an accompanying document.

Article 16(3) asks the same of the Responsible Person, so the two sets sit side by side. Appointing Eldris adds its details to your label, but it does not take your own details off it.

The short answer is also in the FAQ entry on the label address.

Which label address does Eldris give for each market?

For EU markets, print EldrisAi OÜ, Ruunaoja tn 3, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia, with compliance@eldris.ai. For Great Britain, print EldrisAI, Unit 1, Out of the Woods, Halton, Lancashire, LA2 6ND, United Kingdom, with the same email.

Great BritainEldrisAIUnit 1, Out of the Woods, Halton, Lancashire, LA2 6ND, United Kingdomcompliance@eldris.ai

EldrisAi OÜ, registry code 17298529, is an Estonian company. It holds the appointment for the EU markets you choose, and Ruunaoja tn 3 is its registered address. If authorities send post there, Eldris receives it, logs it and notifies you within 24 hours.

The EU label address stays active while you keep the monthly plan, priced by SKU count. It also goes in the Amazon Seller Central compliance fields. Any listing that asks for an EU economic operator address takes it too, as the service page sets out.

The UK has its own product rules. Great Britain is a separate appointment, held by EldrisAI, so its name and address go on goods sold there. Northern Ireland follows the EU rules.

If one order has EU markets and the UK, the certificate names both companies.

Where on the product, parcel and listing do the details go?

The Responsible Person's details can go on the product, its packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document. Your own details go on the product itself, unless that is not possible.

The two articles differ here. Article 16(3) lists four places for the Responsible Person's details. Article 9(6) lists three for yours, with the product first, and the parcel is not one of them.

So a sticker on the shipping parcel can carry the Eldris label address. On its own, though, it does not meet Article 9(6) for your details. Plan the artwork with each article in mind.

Online offers need the details too. If the manufacturer is outside the EU, Article 19(b) applies. The offer then shows the Responsible Person's name and postal and electronic address.

Under Article 22(9), online marketplaces must let traders give both sets of details for each product.

You can print packaging before the appointment, as long as it carries Eldris's name, address and email. The appointment takes effect when you complete onboarding. The guide on when to print Eldris's details covers the timing.

Which label address goes on a cosmetic?

A cosmetic label carries the Responsible Person's name or registered name and address. Both the container and the packaging carry it. That rule comes from Article 19(1)(a) of the Cosmetics Regulation, not from the GPSR.

Cosmetics have their own Responsible Person under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. That law is Union harmonisation legislation listed in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2019/1020. So GPSR Article 16 does not apply to cosmetics.

Article 4(1) of the Cosmetics Regulation allows a cosmetic on the market only with a Responsible Person designated within the EU. Article 19(1)(a) also lets you abbreviate the name and address. The short form must still identify the Responsible Person and its address.

EldrisAi OÜ holds the cosmetics role and the general consumer products role under one appointment. A seller of both does not need two.

So a cosmetic carries the same EU label address as your other goods. That is EldrisAi OÜ, Ruunaoja tn 3, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia.

The appointment does not produce the safety report (CPSR) or the product information file (PIF). The cosmetics FAQ answers those questions.

Which label address do toys and other CE-marked goods need?

Products under the acts listed in Article 4(5) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, such as toys and low-voltage electrical equipment, follow its Article 4. Article 4(4) asks for the EU operator's name and contact details, including the postal address. They go on the product, its packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document.

These goods sit outside Chapter III, Section 1 of the GPSR, which runs from Article 9 to Article 18. That section does not apply to goods under specific Union harmonisation legislation, such as these.

It holds both Article 9(6) and Article 16, so for these goods the GPSR sets neither label rule. Check the product's own law for your own details.

The wording differs too. Article 4(4) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 names the postal address. GPSR Article 16(3) names the postal and electronic address.

The guide to which law covers which products sets out the split.

That EU operator can be an authorised representative with a written mandate from you, under Article 4(2)(c). The service page lists the toy and low-voltage rules with full coverage, under one appointment. So the same EldrisAi OÜ label address applies for EU markets.

The EU authorised representative page sets out the role. To put the Eldris label address on your packaging, start at onboarding.

Frequently asked questions

Do I replace my own address with the Eldris address?

No: for products covered by the GPSR, your own name and postal and electronic address stay on the product under Article 9(6). Article 16(3) then adds the Responsible Person's details, so the label carries both sets side by side. Appointing Eldris adds its details to your label, but it does not take yours off.

Is the Tallinn label address a registered address?

Yes: Ruunaoja tn 3, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia is the registered address of EldrisAi OÜ, the company that holds the appointment for your EU markets. When authorities send post there, Eldris receives it, logs it and notifies you within 24 hours. The address stays active for as long as your monthly plan runs.

Does the label need an email as well as a postal address?

Yes, under the GPSR: Article 16(3) asks for the Responsible Person's postal and electronic address, and Article 9(6) asks the same of you. Print compliance@eldris.ai as that electronic address, next to Eldris's name and address. The same email goes on the product, packaging and listings, for EU markets and for Great Britain.

Which label address do I print for Great Britain?

EldrisAI, Unit 1, Out of the Woods, Halton, Lancashire, LA2 6ND, United Kingdom, with the same email as for EU markets. The appointment for Great Britain is separate from the EU one, which EldrisAi OÜ holds. Northern Ireland follows the EU rules, and an order with both markets names both companies on the certificate.

What happens to the label address if I cancel?

If you cancel, the plan ends with the month paid for, and the EU label address stays active until then. On termination the appointment ends, and Eldris's terms require you to remove its details from your packaging and marketplace listings within 30 days. You can cancel the plan at any time.
